Whether you are a survivor, a caregiver or have lost someone close to you, cancer has interfered in all of our lives; and it is time to put an end to this terrible disease.
Relay for Life
2015 - Why We Relay
Through our relationships with our employees, community members and business partners we have set out on a mission to cure cancer. Each year since 2012 we have participated in the Gig Harbor Relay for Life event. We've raised money through many different means: silent auctions, our Employee Match program, bake sales, custom pink polo sales, wrist band sales, and collecting lose change in our army of pink piggy banks! In the end every dollar counts and without this money the incredible doctors, nurses, researchers, caregivers and programs could not work towards their goal of finding a cure. At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer – just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year! Since 2012 we have raised a grand total of $384,586 and in 2015 we received the Sword of Hope from the American Cancer Society. We are off to the races in 2016 to get that number even higher! We've put together a quick video from our 2015 relay on why we do what we do.
Often times we get asked, "Where does the money that gets raised for Relay for Life go?" In short there are many different programs the money gets allocated to, from research to patient services. This short video explains what Relay is all about and how your participation helps the American Cancer Society save lives! We need your help to finish this fight once and for all!
